CoStar Group completes $800M acquisition of Zonda

CoStar Group has completed its $800 million cash acquisition of Zonda, a platform specializing in new home-construction data, software, and residential real estate marketplaces. The deal, which was first announced in May, provides CoStar with a significant foothold in the estimated $400 billion annual U.S. new-home sales market.

Zonda serves over 3,000 customers across North America, including homebuilders, developers, lenders, and suppliers. The platform tracks the new-home lifecycle from land acquisition and development planning through construction forecasting and sales. The acquisition includes Zonda’s residential marketplaces, NewHomeSource and Livabl, which will join CoStar’s existing portfolio.

In 2025, Zonda generated approximately $170 million in revenue with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 23%. CoStar plans to integrate Zonda’s proprietary lot-level construction data and analytics with its own technology. The company also expressed interest in combining Zonda’s Envision visualization platform with Matterport’s spatial technology to enhance digital home-shopping experiences.
