Costco and Walmart announce early Black Friday sale schedules
Major retailers Costco and Walmart have announced their promotional calendars for the upcoming holiday season, with both companies launching significant discounts well ahead of the traditional Black Friday date.
Costco will begin its sales period on October 30, nearly a month earlier than the official commercial event. The schedule includes a first phase from October 30 to November 15 in physical stores, followed by an early offers phase from November 16 to November 30. Exclusive e-commerce deals will be available on Thanksgiving, November 26, leading into the main Black Friday weekend and concluding with Cyber Monday on November 30.
Walmart has scheduled three distinct discount events running from November 12 through December 2. The retailer will utilize a tiered approach, offering early access to certain products for Walmart+ members. Digital sales are set to begin four days before in-store promotions. Specific early access windows for members include November 12 and November 23, with remaining stock opening to the general public the following days.
