Costco to open first Brisbane warehouse at Brisbane Airport
Brisbane Airport has secured the first Costco warehouse for Brisbane, which is scheduled to open in late 2029. The facility will be part of a new 51-hectare mixed-use precinct located opposite the airport's International Terminal.
The Costco site will cover 6.7 hectares and include a 15,600-square-metre warehouse, a fuel station with 34 bowsers, and 870 parking spaces. The retail development represents an investment of over $145 million and is expected to create approximately 250 full-time jobs.
This location will be Costco’s fourth store in Queensland. Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff noted that the retailer will occupy only 12% of the total development site, which is part of the airport’s $5 billion Future BNE transformation project.
