Costică Rădulescu sports base opens in Timișoara

The Costică Rădulescu sports base has officially opened in Timișoara, following years of delays caused by the initial contractor abandoning the project. The facility was funded by the National Investment Company and is now under the administration of the Timișoara City Hall.

The complex features a large artificial grass football pitch equipped with floodlights and a 500-seat grandstand. Additionally, it includes a multi-functional court designed for mini-football, handball, and basketball.

In collaboration with SCM Timișoara, the city has established a usage program to ensure the facility serves both professional athletes and the general public. The multi-functional court will be available to citizens for free via an online reservation system through the SCM website when not occupied by scheduled activities. The main football pitch will be prioritized for sports clubs for training and competitions.
