Modernization works at the Costinești Tabără and Neptun railway stations in Romania are nearing completion. According to CFR Infrastructură, the physical progress has reached 90% at Costinești Tabără and 98% at Neptun.
The projects involve replacing old structures with new passenger buildings, reconstructing platforms, and improving access routes. Key upgrades include the installation of ramps to assist persons with reduced mobility, improved pedestrian circulation, and modernized level crossings equipped with protective fencing.
To enhance safety and comfort, the infrastructure upgrades also include telecommunications installations, traffic safety systems, and video surveillance. The total investment for these two stations on the Constanța-Mangalia section, contracted in May 2024, amounts to 30.63 million lei, excluding VAT.
