COTALAND amusement park to open in Austin on September 26

COTALAND, a new 30-acre amusement park located at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, is scheduled to open to the public on September 26. The park will feature 30 different rides and attractions.

A primary attraction is the Circuit Breaker, which is noted as the only tilt coaster in Texas. The ride tilts passengers 90 degrees toward the ground before reaching speeds of up to 60 mph. Other attractions include the Palindrome roller coaster, tower swings, drop coasters, water rides, and go-karts.

While the Circuit Breaker coaster previously operated during special events such as the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix, the September 26 date marks the first time the general public will have full access to the park. Operating hours for the park are set from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
