Cotecna, a provider of Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) services, has acquired Energon Labs, an analytical testing laboratory located in Hyderabad, India. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Cotecna’s global Life Sciences platform and expand its testing capabilities within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, and packaging sectors.

Energon Labs operates a laboratory that is cGMP-compliant and inspected by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). It also holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certifications. The laboratory provides a variety of services, including analytical method development, stability studies, impurity profiling, and raw material and finished product testing.

Strategically positioned in Hyderabad, a major pharmaceutical and biotechnology hub, the acquisition provides Cotecna with access to specialized scientific talent and established laboratory infrastructure. Energon Labs serves a client base spanning India, the United States, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. This addition complements Cotecna’s existing pharmaceutical network, which includes Shiva Analyticals and Neotron Pharma.
