Cotia EJA students release book of poetry and life stories
Students from the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) program in the municipal network of Cotia, São Paulo, have released a book titled ‘Prosa que Ensina, Vida que Inspira’. The work features poems, short stories, and personal accounts written by the students.
The literary production was part of the ‘Escrevivências’ pedagogical project, developed throughout 2025 across five municipal schools. The initiative was inspired by the concept of Brazilian writer Conceição Evaristo, which integrates the notions of writing, living, and seeing oneself.
Through bi-weekly literary workshops, students explored basic poetic concepts and recorded their memories, challenges, and dreams. The published work also includes illustrations created by the students themselves.
