Cotia ranks among top 20 job creators in São Paulo

The municipality of Cotia recorded a positive balance of 479 formal jobs with signed work booklets in August 2026. This performance placed the city in 18th position in the state of São Paulo ranking for job creation during that month.

According to data from the Seade Foundation, based on Ministry of Labor and Employment information, the primary sectors driving this growth were services (243 jobs), commerce (154 jobs), and construction (131 jobs). From January to August 2026, Cotia has achieved a cumulative positive balance of 616 formal jobs.

The municipal government attributes these results to initiatives led by the Municipal Secretariat of Labor and Income, which focuses on employability actions, worker guidance, and partnerships with companies to facilitate recruitment processes.
