Cotia to host free dance performance by Grupo Jovem de Dança EDA

The municipality of Cotia will host the 2026 Regional Showcase of the Dance Qualification Program (PQD) this Sunday, October 18, at the Teatro Sphere. The event features a free performance of “O que resta de mim” by the Grupo Jovem de Dança EDA.

Choreographed by Rivaldo Ferreira with artistic direction by Marina Salgado, the 40-minute production explores themes of individual identity and the search for singularity within a society driven by high productivity, speed, and social pressures. The performance is open to all ages.

The showcase is part of the CULTSP PRO initiative, managed by the IDG and coordinated by the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries. This regional circuit includes 11 groups from various cities across the state, including Sorocaba, Indaiatuba, and São Paulo, and is scheduled to run until November 1.

Tickets will be distributed for free at the theater starting at 17:00, one hour before the 18:00 show, on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the venue's 250-person capacity.
