Cotia to inaugurate 42 km cycling and hiking route

The city of Cotia is set to launch the first stage of the ‘Vem Viver Cotia’ cycling route in November. The 42-kilometer path will connect the city center directly to the Morro Grande State Park, accommodating both cyclists and hikers.

The route features a moderate difficulty level, combining paved urban sections with dirt roads and trails through the Atlantic Forest. It will pass near the Pedro Beicht Reservoir and historical sites such as the three-century-old Sítio do Padre Inácio.

This initiative is part of a larger plan to implement 189 kilometers of rural and ecological routes in the region. The project is a collaboration between the Cotia City Hall, the Government of the State of São Paulo, the Secretariat of Tourism and Travel, the Florestal Foundation, and the Brazilian Trail Network.
