Cotopaxi government launches permanent fair for local entrepreneurs

The Cotopaxi Provincial Government is launching a permanent fair to support local entrepreneurs and producers. Governor Jorge Baño announced that the government will provide designated spaces within its facilities to allow for the direct sale of goods to the public, aiming to boost the local economy.

The initiative will include producers of primary goods, such as vegetables and Andean grains, as well as those selling value-added products like honey and dairy. The program is currently in a testing phase and will involve between 35 and 40 businesses. Participants will follow a schedule to sell their products approximately two days per week, adhering to specific requirements regarding organization and presentation to maintain institutional standards.
