Council of Europe hosts Visibility Week reception in Ankara

The Council of Europe Ankara Program Office held a reception in Ankara to mark Visibility Week, an initiative designed to share the progress, activities, and achievements of cooperation projects conducted in Türkiye.

Under the theme ‘Implementing Rights,’ the event was attended by Margherita Zuin, Head of the Council of Europe Ankara Program Office; Claus Neukirch, Program Coordination Director; and Murat Azaklı, Secretary General of the Constitutional Court. Other attendees included representatives from public institutions, diplomatic missions, international organizations, and universities.

During her opening remarks, Margherita Zuin noted that the office has been working with various institutions, including teachers seeking to expand their educational skills, and is striving to strengthen civil society organizations regarding challenges related to migration and the environment. Claus Neukirch emphasized that the value of human rights lies in the tangible difference they make in people's daily lives, rather than just being principles guaranteed by treaties.
