Council of State upholds José Luis Bohórquez's election

The Council of State has denied a lawsuit seeking to nullify the election of Representative José Luis Bohórquez for Boyacá. Bohórquez, who secured approximately 94,000 votes, announced the decision via video, noting that the legal challenge was part of a recurring pattern of attempts by political opponents to overturn his seat.

Bohórquez expressed significant emotional distress regarding the ongoing legal pressures, stating that he has faced numerous lawsuits since his time as mayor. He characterized the recent action as an attempt by a specific group of detractors to remove him from his position in the House of Representatives.
