Councilor Laura Pugliese of Vibo Valentia Victim of Stalking, Urges Community Solidarity

Councilor Laura Pugliese, a member of the Italia Viva‑Casa Riformista group in Vibo Valentia, Italy, was the target of a stalking campaign that included persistent messages, home surveillance and a vehicle fire on 30 July 2026. The Questura of Vibo, led by Questor Rodolfo Ruperti, issued a formal warning to the alleged stalker, stating that any further contact could lead to prosecution.

Pugliese, an attorney by profession, publicly thanked citizens, political figures and law‑enforcement for their support. She framed the intimidation as an attack on the entire community and reaffirmed her commitment to legal principles, the rule of law and the welfare of Vibo Valentia. She pledged to continue her public duties without yielding to threats.
