County Prefect Blaženko Boban Approves Land Donation for Horse Breeding Camp in Vrlika, Croatia
The Splitsko‑dalmatinska County assembly voted to transfer state-owned land to the municipality of Vrlika for the construction of a horse‑breeding and training camp. The project is intended to serve the Viteško Alkarsko Društvo Sinj, promote equine husbandry, host therapeutic and educational programmes, and boost rural tourism in the Vrličko region. County prefect Blaženko Boban highlighted that the decision comes on the eve of the 311th Sinj Alka, describing the camp as a new chapter for Croatia’s horse‑racing heritage.
At the same session the assembly also adopted a waste‑management plan for 2024‑2029, an energy‑efficiency action plan for 2025‑2027, and approved the establishment of a senior‑citizen centre in Dragljani, alongside reports on health and social institutions.
