Coupang expands Wow Card benefits with new rewards promotion

Coupang, in partnership with KB Kookmin Card and Visa, has announced a new promotion for its ‘Coupang Wow Card’ running from November 1 to April 30. The promotion offers increased cash rewards without requiring a minimum previous month's spending requirement.

Cardholders can earn a total of 3.5% in rewards (2% base plus 1.5% promotional) on payments made through Coupang, Coupang Eats, and Coupang Play, with a monthly cap of 35,000 won. For other domestic and international online or offline merchants, the combined reward rate will be 1%, capped at 10,000 won per month.

The promotion also introduces new 1% additional rewards for three specific lifestyle categories: convenience stores (including GS25, CU, Seven-Eleven, and Emart24), cafes (including major brands like Starbucks and Twosome Place as well as small businesses), and overseas payments. Each of these categories has a monthly cap of 10,000 won, allowing for a total additional reward of 30,000 won. Combined, customers can earn up to 75,000 won in monthly rewards. Coupang also introduced three new card designs to coincide with the expansion.
