Coupang launches health and cost support for Incheon fire victims
Coupang Fulfillment Service (CFS) announced a comprehensive aid programme for residents affected by the fire at its Seoknam‑dong logistics centre in Incheon. Starting 25 May, an emergency medical support centre will operate and free health examinations—including respiratory checks, blood‑sugar and oxygen‑saturation tests—will be held at a temporary clinic in nearby Shin‑hyun Elementary School through 7 June. Over 20 medical professionals will provide physical exams, psychological counselling, nebuliser treatment and prescription of basic medicines.
CFS will also reimburse hospital fees, medication costs, cleaning and car‑wash expenses, and will offer free loss‑adjuster services. A dedicated call‑centre will run from 27 May to 30 Nov to process support claims, and additional assistance is planned for local factories and small businesses disrupted by vehicle‑access restrictions. CEO Jung‑jong‑cheol apologized to residents and pledged ongoing aid to help the community recover quickly.
