Courchevel prepares ski jump upgrades ahead of 2030 Winter Olympics

The ski jumping venue in Courchevel is set for a major renovation, with costs estimated at €60‑70 million. The planned expansion will increase the hill size to 149 m, potentially making it the largest large hill in the world and replacing the current record holder in Willingen. The upgrade is tied to the town’s role as a host venue for the 2030 Winter Olympic Games, and organizers are also addressing long‑standing issues such as poor camera placement during competitions.

The Ski Grand Prix (SGP) will continue in Courchevel after a successful event in Wisła, Poland, and a slalom race is scheduled for 16 December. Austrian ski racer Katharina Liensberger announced a new partnership with health‑product maker COLDAMARIS, which will appear on her helmet and in media coverage of the Courchevel event.
