Courier Syarif returns Rp 92 million accidental transfer

A delivery courier named Syarif, working for SPX Express at the Banguntapan 2 Hub in Yogyakarta, has gained viral attention for returning an accidental bank transfer of Rp 92 million.

The incident occurred when a customer, Rita Armila, attempted to pay a Rp 92,000 cash-on-delivery (COD) fee. Due to being in a hurry, she mistakenly transferred Rp 92 million instead of the intended amount. The error went unnoticed by Armila for four days until Syarif contacted her to report the excess funds and request her account details to facilitate the return.

Syarif returned Rp 91.8 million to Armila, who subsequently provided him with Rp 200,000 as a gesture of appreciation for his integrity. Harry Akbar, Operational Business Director of SPX Express, confirmed Syarif is an active courier and praised his good intentions, noting that such employees serve as positive examples within the company.
