Sports update: Ladies Italian Open golf and Courmayeur Cup volleyball

The Buccellati Ladies Italian Open is underway at the Golf Club Milano in Monza. The tournament, part of the Ladies European Tour, features 120 athletes competing for a 350,000 euro prize pool. South African Casandra Alexander, the world number one, is currently sharing the lead with German Alexandra Forsterling and Swedish Moa Folke. Italian players Alessandra Fanali and Anna Zanusso remain in contention, positioned near the top of the leaderboard.

In women's volleyball, the Courmayeur Cup is also seeing significant action. Imoco Conegliano has secured a spot in the final after defeating Igor Gorgonzola Novara 3-0 in the semifinals. The final is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, where Conegliano will face Numia Vero Volley Milano. Linda Manfredini was named MVP of the semifinal match.
