Court McGee to retire following UFC 332 bout

UFC welterweight veteran Court McGee has confirmed that his upcoming bout at UFC 332 will be his final professional fight. The 41-year-old Utah native is scheduled to face Eric Nolan in a preliminary match at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

McGee stated that the decision to retire was made several years ago during a previous contract signing. He noted that while a past neck injury had previously made him consider leaving the sport, he currently feels healthy. However, he cited his age and the desire to transition into life after fighting—including his responsibilities to his family and his gym—as primary factors in his decision.

In terms of betting odds, McGee enters the matchup as a +190 underdog against Nolan, who is a -225 favorite. While Nolan is noted for being younger and possessing more knockout power, McGee is recognized for his cardio and wrestling abilities.
