Court of Auditors in Friuli Venezia Giulia targeted by intimidation attempt

A bullet was delivered to the headquarters of the Court of Auditors in Friuli Venezia Giulia, an incident that has drawn widespread condemnation from political leaders and judicial associations.

Regional Governor Massimiliano Fedriga expressed deep indignation, describing the act as an extreme gravity gesture that crosses all limits and must be rejected. He emphasized that democratic institutions are founded on respect for people and their functions, stating that such intimidation cannot be minimized.

The Association of Court of Auditors Magistrates also issued a statement expressing solidarity with colleagues and staff, condemning all forms of intimidation. The association reaffirmed that magistrates will continue to perform their duties with independence to protect legality and citizens' interests. Opposition leaders, including Debora Serracchiani of the Democratic Party, have also characterized the event as being of exceptional gravity.
