Courtney Love announces completion of new solo album
Courtney Love has announced that her second solo studio album is complete, marking her first solo release since ‘America’s Sweetheart’. In a video shared on Instagram, the singer expressed high satisfaction with the project, stating, “It is finished. In a certain sense, it is already done. It is a really beautiful record.”
During the announcement, Love reflected on a severe health crisis in 2019 that nearly cost her her life. She described experiencing extreme physical distress, losing her hair, and dropping to a weight of approximately 45 kilograms. She noted that despite medical professionals suggesting she would not survive, she remained resilient.
Love indicated that her childhood experiences and internal struggles heavily influenced the new music. Regarding her band Hole, she confirmed collaborations with guitarist Will Sergeant and former member Melissa Auf Der Maur for upcoming performances, though she dismissed the possibility of a full band reunion. Additionally, she is working on memoirs expected to be released by the end of the year.
