In a separate case, a Mississippi federal court sanctioned four attorneys for submitting court documents containing fabricated legal citations produced by artificial‑intelligence tools. The judge emphasized the attorneys' duty to verify sources and warned that reliance on AI without human oversight can lead to serious professional misconduct.
