Courts in Sarajevo and Zagreb proceed with human trafficking and assassination trial cases

In Sarajevo, the County Court has confirmed an indictment against Ekrem Kadrić and Mersad Musić for human trafficking. The indictment alleges that in late 2025, the duo recruited and coerced three individuals, including two minors, for sexual exploitation and financial gain through the use of threats, intimidation, and force. Kadrić also faces charges for unauthorized possession of narcotics. The prosecution has requested an extension of detention and a five-year ban on contacting the victims.

In Zagreb, a trial has commenced against six individuals—Ljubomir Bajić, Slobodan Jeremić, Đuro Miličević, Čedomir Kovačević, Ratko Dopuđa, and Damir Lukić—concerning the 1991 rocket attack on Banske dvori. The defendants are accused of attempting to assassinate the then-President of Croatia, Franjo Tuđman, and other high-ranking state officials. The indictment claims the attack was part of a plan by the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) command to destabilize the Republic of Croatia through aerial bombardment of a densely populated urban center.
