Covasna firefighters train for electric and hybrid vehicle emergencies

Firefighters from ISU Covasna participated in a specialized training session focused on responding to accidents and fires involving electric and hybrid vehicles. Supported by a representative from BYD România, the training aimed to help rescuers quickly identify vehicle types and implement necessary safety measures.

The instruction covered specific risks associated with high-voltage batteries and the technical requirements for managing such incidents. Rescuers were also taught how to monitor potential hazards that may persist even after a fire has been extinguished, a critical step given the increasing number of electric and hybrid vehicles on the road.
