Disney+ reveals teaser for Coven Academy supernatural teen series

Disney+ and Freeform have released the first teaser for Coven Academy, a new supernatural teen drama created and executive produced by Tim Federle. Set in New Orleans at the Crescent Veil Academy, an elite boarding school for the mystically gifted, the series follows three teenage witches and their warlock peers navigating ancient supernatural wars, lethal secrets, and forbidden romances.

The show features a fast-paced, serialized format with short chapters designed for binge-watching. The teaser trailer, set to Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Brutal,” introduces the main cast, including Malina Pauli Weissman as Briar, Malachi Barton as Jake, Jordan Leftwich as Sasha, Ora Duplass as Tegan, and Louis Thresher as Ollie. Tiffani Thiessen portrays the academy’s headmistress, Miss Graves, while Devon Sawa makes a special appearance as Professor Cole.

Coven Academy is scheduled to premiere on Freeform on October 1, 2026, with the full season becoming available on Disney+, Hulu, and Freeform On Demand the following day, October 2, 2026.
