Covenant University Chancellor aims for global recognition

Dr. David Oyedepo, the Chancellor of Covenant University, has stated that the institution is destined to become a globally sought-after university comparable to Harvard University. He made these remarks during the university’s 24th Founder’s Day Anniversary Thanksgiving in Ota, Ogun State.

Oyedepo attributed the university’s growth and increasing international recognition over the past 24 years to its spiritual foundation and divine vision. Reflecting on the institution's origins, he recalled a spiritual encounter in Abuja in 2002 that confirmed the university was a divinely ordained project.

During his address, titled ‘Thanksgiving: A Pathway to Supernatural Advancement’, Oyedepo emphasized that gratitude serves as a spiritual force that facilitates breakthroughs and sustains progress through challenges. He encouraged the university community and students to maintain a spirit of thankfulness and avoid complaining to ensure continued advancement.
