Coventry City defeats AS Monaco 2-0 in pre-season friendly

AS Monaco, coached by Filipe Luís, lost 2-0 to Coventry City in their final pre-season friendly at the Coventry Building Society Arena. The match, managed by Franck Lampard for the English side, saw Coventry take control early in the first half.

Ellis Simms opened the scoring for Coventry in the 11th minute, followed by a goal from Loum Tchaouna in the 31st minute. Despite some late attempts by Monaco players such as Nazinho and Biereth, the Monegasque side struggled with passing errors and a lack of offensive presence.

This result follows a recent victory for Monaco against Liverpool, but marks a shift in form as they conclude their pre-season with a record of three wins, one draw, and two losses. Monaco will now prepare for their Conference League qualifying match against Górnik Zabrze, while Coventry prepares for their league opener against Arsenal.
