Coventry City prepares for Premier League return and Monaco friendly

Coventry City is preparing for its return to the Premier League following a Championship title win, scheduled to begin their campaign against Arsenal on August 21. To bolster the squad under manager Frank Lampard, the club has already spent £86 million on five players, including goalkeeper Carl Rushworth. Reports indicate Coventry has also made enquiries regarding Marseille midfielder Angel Gomes, who is reportedly interested in returning to England.

As part of their final pre-season preparations, Coventry City will face Ligue 1 side Monaco in a friendly match. Monaco, managed by Filipe Luis, enters the fixture following a recent 3-2 victory over Liverpool. Monaco is also undergoing squad changes, having secured Matthis Abline from Nantes while managing the departure of several key players.
