Covilhã hosts closing session of Fórum do Pensamento Novo

The first edition of the Fórum do Pensamento Novo – Ca(u)sa Comum, organized by the Instituto Fernando Paulouro Neves (IFPN), will conclude on October 12 at the University of Beira Interior in Covilhã.

The closing session, titled ‘Poema Colectivo’, will feature a panel of seven journalists discussing the values, challenges, and role of proximity journalism within communities. The debate is inspired by a 2012 chronicle by Fernando Paulouro Neves and serves as a tribute to his career and his commitment to social responsibility and local news.

The forum, which ran from October 2 to 12, included various initiatives across Fundão, Penamacor, Castelo Branco, Guarda, and Covilhã, covering topics such as education, arts, literature, and territorial development.
