Coway air purifier named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026

Coway’s air purifier, the AirMega Mighty 2, has been selected by TIME magazine as one of the ‘Best Inventions of 2026’ in the household appliances category. Developed as a strategic product for the North American market, the device was recognized for its dual functionality, combining air purification with real-time indoor air quality monitoring and management.

The AirMega Mighty 2 features HEPA and carbon filters certified by IEST, alongside a ‘MegaScan™ laser sensor’ capable of detecting ultra-fine particles. The product also demonstrates improved efficiency, with a 20% reduction in energy consumption compared to its predecessor and a low noise level of 19dB.

This recognition follows the success of its predecessor, the AirMega Mighty, which was named a top air purifier by The New York Times’ Wirecutter for 12 consecutive years. Coway intends to use this achievement to strengthen its brand competitiveness in the global air care market.
