Coway Codys utilize flexible work schedules to balance career and childcare
Coway's visiting service providers, known as ‘Cody’, are gaining attention for a flexible work model that allows individuals to balance professional duties with childcare and personal lifestyles. Operating as independent business partners rather than traditional employees, these workers can autonomously adjust their schedules and workload around customer appointments.
This flexibility enables various lifestyle arrangements, such as working only ten days a month to focus on hobbies or caregiving, or combining the role with other personal businesses. The model is noted for helping individuals avoid career breaks, particularly for parents needing to manage sudden childcare responsibilities.
According to Coway, the average monthly income for Codys has increased from 2.71 million won in 2023 to 3.21 million won this year. Income is derived from sales commissions and service fees for regular inspections and filter replacements, with some high-performing individuals earning over 10 million won per month.
