Cowboy Jamboree cross country meet to feature top collegiate teams

Cowboy Jamboree collegiate cross country NCAA Oklahoma State Tarleton State

The Cowboy Jamboree collegiate cross country meet is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course. The event features a highly competitive field of top-ranked programs.

On the men's side, the competition includes the No. 1 ranked Oklahoma State, No. 2 New Mexico, and No. 5 Oregon. The women's field includes No. 2 New Mexico and No. 3 BYU. The meet will consist of a women's 6k race at 8:15 am and a men's 8k race at 8:50 am.

Participating teams include Tarleton State, which will face fellow UAC opponent Abilene Christian, and Stephen F. Austin. Notable athletes mentioned include SFA's Lathan Lewter, Saad Rifi Loutfi, and Mercy Kipchumba, as well as Tarleton State's Diego Flores and freshman Ava Tannehill.
