Cowichan Craft Beer and Food Festival returns Aug. 15 in Chemainus, BC
The Cowichan Craft Beer and Food Festival will be held in Chemainus, British Columbia on August 15, organized by the Chemainus Business Improvement Association. Described as the island’s largest craft‑beer and food fest, it expects thousands of visitors and will feature around 30 producers offering roughly 100 different beers, ciders, and food from about 15 food trucks, plus three live‑music acts.
Tickets are sold as tasting tokens usable for beer, food and activities, with proceeds supporting the Canucks Autism Network. Festival director Krystal Adams noted challenges with last‑minute ticket sales and volunteer recruitment, and the event is seeking about ten additional volunteers. After a pause during the COVID‑19 pandemic and a break in 2023, the festival resumed in 2022 and aims to continue annually.
