Cowichan Exhibition returns to North Cowichan for 158th year
The Cowichan Exhibition is returning to the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds in North Cowichan from September 17 to 20. Celebrating its 158th year, this year’s event carries the theme ‘Proudly Canadian’.
Executive director Shari Paterson noted that the three-day fair serves as a celebration of the community, its agricultural roots, and local talent. The program includes classic carnival rides, zucchini races, and livestock displays, alongside sheep shearing demonstrations and 4H shows.
Entertainment highlights include logger sports, VI Pro Wrestling, and Global FMX Freestyle Motocross. Visitors can also explore community creativity through hall displays in Mellor Hall and participate in various activities at the Kids’ Corral.
