Cowichan Valley couple launches successful local business showcase series
Victoria and Darryl Parks have transformed a local farm stand initiative into a successful online series titled ‘Farmer Vic’. Originally launched on June 20 to promote a small farm stand in Crofton, the project has expanded into a popular digital platform showcasing the Cowichan Valley.
Through Facebook reels, the couple has garnered over two million views, highlighting local farms, businesses, and hidden regional gems. Their content has branched into several specialized series, including ‘Cowichan Uncorked’, which features local wineries, and ‘Cowichan Farm to Table’, which connects local ingredients with professional chefs.
Beyond digital engagement, the project has fostered community connections, such as hosting farm-to-table dinners that bring together individuals met through their videos.
