Cowra pharmacy theft: Man charged after allegedly threatening staff

A 53-year-old man has been charged following an alleged pharmacy robbery in Cowra. On Friday, September 25, officers from the Chifley Police District responded to reports of a theft at a pharmacy located on Railway Lane.

According to police, the man allegedly entered the business, walked behind the counter, and threatened staff to demand prescribed medication. After fleeing with the drugs without payment, investigators located the suspect at a residence on Jindalee Circuit.

During a search of the property, police reportedly seized the stolen medication along with an amount of methylamphetamine. The man was charged with demand property with menaces with intent to steal and possession of a prohibited drug. He was refused bail and scheduled to appear in court on September 26.
