Cox: Firefighters contain hazardous resin leak on A-7 highway

Emergency services in Cox, Spain, have contained a resin leak from a truck carrying hazardous materials on the A-7 highway. The incident occurred around 8:41 AM at kilometer 546 near the Redován exit after the vehicle veered off the road.

Firefighters from the Orihuela station used foam to suppress the leak and prevent the chemical compounds from igniting. This containment strategy successfully limited the spill to a small area, preventing it from spreading across the roadway or into the ditches. The driver of the truck sustained injuries in the accident and received medical attention at the scene.

Following the stabilization of the chemical leak, crews remained on-site to ventilate the area and ensure no further escapes occurred.
