Cox's Bazar to host inaugural three-month tourism carnival

The Bangladesh Tourism Corporation has announced the inaugural ‘Cox's Bazar Tourism Carnival 2026’, a three-month event scheduled to run from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. Managed by Spellbound Communications Limited, the carnival will take place at the beachfront and pine forest areas near Hotel Shaibal.

Organizers aim to address a lack of evening entertainment for tourists, a common complaint that has hindered the growth of international visitor numbers. The festival will feature diverse day and night activities, including food zones with local and international cuisine, a craft village for local artisans, and a wellness zone for sunrise yoga and meditation.

Additional attractions include a camping zone with night-stay options and stargazing, an open-sky movie theater, a VR zone, and various sports such as kayaking, beach football, and sand sculpting. Special celebrations are planned for Victory Day, Christmas, and New Year's Eve, alongside musical performances titled ‘Wave of Music’ at the beach view open theater.
