Coyote sightings reported in Evansville residential areas

Residents in Evansville, Indiana, have reported multiple sightings of a coyote roaming through residential areas, specifically around Boeke Road and Pollack Avenue. Evansville Animal Care and Control and Nuisance Wildlife Control are monitoring the situation.

Nuisance Wildlife Control stated that the coyote does not appear to be sick or injured. Officials are investigating the sightings to determine if action, such as safe capture and relocation, is necessary. Because coyotes can travel long distances, the animal may appear in surrounding neighborhoods.
