Coyote vs. ACME film achieves $100 million global box office success
The Looney Tunes film ‘Coyote vs. ACME’ has achieved unexpected box office success after nearly being cancelled. Originally completed by Warner Bros. in 2023, the project was initially slated to be a tax write-off after the studio decided against a theatrical release.
Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights to the film for $50 million, bringing the production to theaters. The film follows Wile E. Coyote as he seeks legal recourse against the ACME Corporation for the repeated failure of its products. Starring Will Forte as attorney Kevin Avery, the movie is described as a hybrid of live-action and animation.
Since its release, the film has reportedly amassed $100 million at the global box office, proving to be a significant commercial recovery for the intellectual property.
