Coyote vs. Acme movie set for August 2026 theatrical debut

The live‑action and animation hybrid film "Coyote vs. Acme" follows Wile E. Coyote suing the Acme Corporation after countless faulty products hinder his chase of the Road Runner. It stars Will Forte as Coyote’s lawyer, John Cena among the cast, and is directed by Dave Green with a screenplay by Samy Burch. The movie is scheduled to open in Brazilian cinemas on 27 August 2026 and in other markets on 28 August 2026.

The project was originally shelved by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2023 and written off as part of a $115 million content write‑down by Warner Bros. Discovery in 2024. In March 2025, Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights and released a final trailer in July 2026, confirming the new distribution plan.
