Cozre Inc. reports rising utility costs for Japanese child-rearing households

Cozre Inc. has released a research report regarding the consumption habits of child-rearing households in Japan, focusing on decarbonization products and mobility.

The survey indicates that over 70% of households feel their utility costs have increased, with many reporting that rising expenses are impacting their ability to save for the future. While there is a growing awareness of environmental considerations and household savings, interest in decarbonization products remains mixed. Approximately 26.4% of respondents expressed interest in solar power but have not yet considered it, while interest in electric vehicles (EVs) and storage batteries remains relatively low.

Key barriers to adopting decarbonization technologies include high initial costs (53.0%), unclear maintenance costs (41.5%), and complex subsidy systems (33.2%). Conversely, the primary perceived benefits are peace of mind during power outages or disasters (38.2%) and reductions in electricity bills (34.9%).
