Cozumel hosts XXII Concurso de la Canción Mexicana

The XXII Concurso de la Canción Mexicana was held at the Museo de la Isla auditorium, organized by the Fundación de Parques y Museos de Cozumel (FPMC). The event, held in celebration of national holidays, provided a platform for middle and high school students to perform regional Mexican music and works by national authors.

In the middle school category, Mónica Julissa Tzuc took first place, followed by Mariana González Vivas in second. In the high school category, Edgar Chan won first place, with Ligia Dzul in second, Helena Pérez in third, and María José Gamboa in fourth. The competition was judged on criteria including pitch, intonation, meter, diction, and interpretation.
