Cozumel officials install air conditioning at Edna Julia Polanco Mezo primary school

Cozumel Mayor José Luis Chacón Méndez supervised the installation of 33 air conditioning units at the Edna Julia Polanco Mezo primary school. This initiative aims to improve learning conditions for more than 472 students.

The project is part of a municipal government commitment to provide air conditioning to all public schools on the island. Following previous installations in high schools and secondary schools, the program is now focusing on primary education. Other primary schools, including La Leona Vicario, Eladio Novelo Gil, and Irma Delfina López Berzunza, have already received climate control upgrades for the 2026-2027 school year.
