Cozumel's Museo de la Isla to host photography exhibition

The Fundación de Parques y Museos de Cozumel (FPMC) has announced the opening of a collective photography exhibition titled ‘Un Mundo, Siete Miradas’ (One World, Seven Gazes). The event is scheduled to inaugurate on Friday, August 21, at 20:00 at the Museo de la Isla in Cozumel, with free admission for the public.

The exhibition features the work of seven photographers: Aiyana Alcala, Tati Biermas, Laura Cochran, Adonay Saucedo, Paul Von der Heyden, Sharon Hansen, and Telmo Villanueva. The collection explores how different individuals observe and interpret their surroundings through light, shadows, colors, and textures.

Isela Carrillo Cupul, director of the Museo de la Isla, noted that the exhibition invites reflection on how photography serves as a tool for personal expression in the modern era. The exhibition's museography is being managed by Satoko Kitamura, who designed a layout intended to facilitate a dialogue between the various artistic perspectives.
