CPB Contractors awarded Townsville Correction Centre expansion project

CPB Contractors, a subsidiary of CIMIC Group, has been appointed by the Queensland Government as the managing contractor for the Townsville Correction Centre Capacity Uplift Project. The project is expected to generate approximately $730 million in revenue for CPB Contractors.

The expansion involves significant security enhancements and the construction of 200 additional cells, which will provide 400 new beds to increase prison capacity. The project is being delivered in partnership with Queensland Corrective Services and the Department of Housing and Public Works.
