Cpbez officials receive training for gender-based violence victims in Zulia
Officials from the Cpbez in Zulia state, Venezuela, participated in a specialized workshop focused on Psychological First Aid and Safe Referrals. The training is designed to strengthen immediate responses to victims of gender-based violence.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Zulia State Secretariat for Citizen Promotion and Prevention and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA Venezuela). Led by specialist Anicarmen Chirinos, the training aims to provide officers with tools to handle vulnerable individuals and activate institutional care routes while preventing re-victimization.
The program consists of two learning modules. Upon completion of the second phase, Cpbez officers will receive official certification for their ability to intervene in crisis situations within Zulia communities.
